We warmly invite you to attend the 2019 IPWEA NZ conference to be held on the stunning Wellington waterfront at the TSB Arena and Shed 6 from Wednesday 26 – Friday 28 June 2019.  We confirm Hon Nanaia Mahuta will be speaking at the conference opening.

The 2019 conference theme is ‘Delivering on Reform:  Future Infrastructure Perspectives.

The new Government has a significant reform programme underway across a number of sectors. Many of these reforms will have an impact on the management and development of our infrastructure. As public works professionals, we will have a key part to play in translating this reform into services and physical assets by making things happen! This must be underpinned by strong relationships between central and local government, to leverage off the strengths of each. This conference presents an opportune time to do so.

This builds on past conference themes around responding to change.  The 2019 theme focuses on how we can use our asset management and infrastructure disciplines to achieve reform in how services are delivered to our customers.

The organising committee are well advanced in confirming a range of exciting keynote speakers.  These will both provide a wider perspective of the influences on our industry, and also take a closer look at some of the revolutionary developments that are expected to bring significant benefits to customers including new models of delivery of services between local and central government, and the wider supply chain.
